Staying safe
Escrow protects the crypto. It cannot protect a payment you made outside the trade, a card that gets reversed three months later, or a conversation that moved to WhatsApp. These are the ways people actually lose money here.
Never move the conversation off Koinzaar
A moderator can only read what is in the trade chat. Everything agreed on Telegram, WhatsApp or email is, for the purposes of a dispute, something you are asserting and cannot show. Somebody asking to talk elsewhere is asking you to trade without evidence, and that is the request itself, whatever reason they give for it.
Never release before the money is in your account
Not when you see a transfer receipt, not when the app shows it as pending, not when the sender swears it has left. A screenshot can be edited in thirty seconds and a pending transfer can be recalled. Open your own banking app and confirm the balance changed. This single habit prevents most seller losses.
Pay from an account in your own name
A payment from a third party is the single most common way a trade becomes unresolvable. The seller cannot verify it came from you, banks treat unexpected third-party transfers as fraud indicators, and a moderator looking at a name that matches neither trader has nothing to decide on. If your own account is the only one you can pay from, that is a constraint worth respecting rather than working around.
Know which payment methods can be reversed
Some payments are final and some are not, and the difference is the entire risk. A bank transfer between accounts in the same country generally cannot be pulled back. A card payment, PayPal and most gift cards bought with a card can be reversed weeks or months after the crypto is long gone.
Offers on this platform are tagged for it. An open-loop card — a prepaid Visa, a Vanilla — was bought with a real card somewhere, and that purchase can be charged back at the payment network. A closed-loop card is voided by the retailer instead. Both cost the seller the money. If you are selling into a reversible method, price for it and take the buyer’s record seriously.
Read the record, not the rating
A five-star average over three trades says almost nothing. Look at how many trades somebody has completed, how many disputes they have lost, and how long they have been here. A new account is not a scammer; a new account asking you to release early is.
Koinzaar will never ask you for these
Your password, your two-factor code, your seed phrase, or a payment to “verify” or “unlock” anything. Nobody from Koinzaar will contact you outside the platform. Support does not have your password and does not need your code.
If something is wrong, dispute rather than cancel
Cancelling returns the escrow to the seller. If you have already paid, that is exactly what you do not want. Open a dispute instead: the escrow freezes where it is until a person has read both sides.
